Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CardMaps mobile application and website (the "Service"), operated by Hernando Media LLC. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use CardMaps.
2. Browsing is free; some features require an account
Discovery — the map, shops, shows, and vendors — is free to browse. Creating content or interacting (favorites, messaging, reviews, submissions, applying for a vendor or shop profile) requires an account.
3. Premium features during the soft launch
CardMaps offers a set of premium features for vendors and shops: being followed and messaged by collectors, posting updates to followers, displaying marketplace and social links, show booking, going live, a shareable QR code, public reviews and star rating, a pro badge, and a highlighted pin on the map.
During our soft launch, these premium features are provided free of charge to every vendor and shop profile. There is no subscription, no trial to start, no payment method required, and nothing to cancel.
We intend to introduce paid plans for these premium features in a future release. So there is no confusion about what you are signing up for:
- The soft launch is temporary. Free access to premium features is a promotional period, not a permanent entitlement, and we may end it at any time.
- We will give you reasonable advance notice — in the app, by email, or both — before premium features become paid.
- You will never be charged automatically. If paid plans launch, you must actively choose to subscribe. We will not convert a soft-launch profile into a paying subscription on your behalf, and we will not place a subscription behind a trial that bills you unless you opt in.
- If you choose not to subscribe when paid plans arrive, your account and your public listing remain. You keep your collector account, and your vendor or shop listing stays discoverable — premium features simply switch off.
4. If and when paid plans launch
This section describes terms that will apply only once paid subscriptions are available. None of it applies today.
- Pricing. Current pricing will be shown clearly before you purchase.
- Billing. Where a subscription is purchased through Apple, payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews automatically each period until canceled.
- Cancellation. You may manage or cancel at any time in your Apple ID settings, at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Purchases made through Apple are handled by Apple and subject to Apple's refund policies.
5. User content
You retain ownership of content you post (profiles, reviews, messages, status updates, submissions). You grant CardMaps a license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for your content and must have the rights to post it.
6. Acceptable use
Do not: post false, misleading, unlawful, harassing, or infringing content; impersonate others; spam or scrape the Service; attempt to breach security; or misuse messaging or reviews. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Community submissions and moderation
Shops and shows submitted by users enter a review queue before publication. Vendor profiles go live immediately when created; shop profiles that claim an existing listing are reviewed before ownership is transferred. We may approve, edit, reject, or remove submissions and other content at our discretion to keep the Service accurate and trustworthy.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." Listing information is community-sourced and may be incomplete or inaccurate. CardMaps does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or safety of any shop, show, vendor, or transaction discovered through the Service.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardMaps is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for interactions between users, vendors, shops, or promoters.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or the Service at any time; continued use means you accept the changes. Where a change materially affects what you pay or what you receive — including the end of the soft launch described in Section 3 — we will provide notice as described there. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
